Here we go again…Another Thai politician going down!

The official resignation hasn’t come yet, but it looks like we’ve got another coup on our hands here in Thailand. Two years ago, we had Thaksin Shinawatra overthrown and go-go dancers and tanks were on the streets, but this one seems to be a little less fun and games.

The current prime minister, Mr. Samak Sudaravej, has called a state of emergency in Thailand, America is issuing travel warnings, and violence (the worst in 16 years) has reared its ugly head on the streets in Bangkok. Still just a little hiccup compared to the 6 person shooting in NW Washington. To those of you concerned about my safety, there’s no need to worry! Words to Wander By

"Each one of us today will at one time in our lives look upon a loved one who is in need and ask the same question: We are willing help, but what, if anything, is needed? For it is true we can seldom help closest to us. Either we don't know what part of ourselves to give or, more often than not, the part we have to give is not wanted. And so it those we live with and should know who elude us. But we can still love them - we can love completely without complete understanding."
-Norman Maclean (Rev. Maclean)
